Gloria Steurer, Janesville, WI  (1932 - 2012)

Gloria Steurer, age 80, of Janesville, died on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at home. She was born in Janesville on Nov. 8, 1932, the daughter of John B. and Dorothy J. (Monahan) Cantwell. She had been a Janesville resident all of her life. Gloria enjoyed knitting caps and mittens for the homeless. She wrote a book of memories for her family. She enjoyed spending time with family and her lifelong friend of 75 years, Pat Wagner. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Gloria is survived by her three children: Karla Frinzi, Wendy Wright, and Kim Schlieger, all of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends; and her beloved cat, Sparky. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Kermit and Dennis; brother, John “Jack” Cantwell; and sister, Dorothy Buggs.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Mt. Olivet Chapel. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Chapel.
