Robert M. Garecht, Delavan, WI  (1932 - 2012)

Robert M. Garecht, age 80, of Delavan, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Lakeland Health Care Center in Elkhorn, WI. He was born Aug. 14, 1932, in Taylor, ND, the son of Jack and Rose (Fix) Garecht. Bob was united in marriage to Elaine Wandler in Dickinson, ND, on July 5, 1954. He was employed at General Motors in Janesville for 34 years until his retirement in 1999. Along with his wife Elaine, Bob attended St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan.
Robert is survived by his wife, Elaine of Delavan; his daughter, Carla (Richard) Ludowise of Elkhorn, WI; his three sons: Kenneth (Kim) Garecht of Janesville, WI, Kevin Garecht of Vista, CA, and Keith (Kelli) Garecht of Elkhorn, WI; five grandchildren: Brad, Mike, Cami, Riley (Tabraea) Oman and Krissy (Brad) Shroeder; seven great-grandchildren; also surviving are his two sisters; Issy Kostenko and Eleanor Phillips; one brother, Al (Billie) Garecht; one sister-in-law, Vernette Garecht; many nieces; and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Hank Garecht, Leo Garecht, Joe Garecht and Phil Garecht; one niece, Casy Garecht; two brothers-in-law, Art Kostenko and Jack Phillips; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Garecht and Hilda Garecht; two half brothers, Barney Garecht and George Garecht; and one half-sister, Barbara Carmen.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan, WI. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the FUNERAL HOME. MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan is assisting the family. Visit us at monroefh.com
