Margaret “Peggy” J. Lewis, 82, of Country Estates Burlington, WI, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at Lakeland Health Care Center, Elkhorn, WI. She was born Dec. 21, 1930, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Lewis H. and Ethel M. (Brunette) Brewer. Peggy was united in marriage to Milbee J. Wallace in 1952, in Chicago, IL. On June 26, 1982, in Elkhorn, WI, she married Richard A. Lewis. Peggy worked for over 23 years at Lakeland Nursing Home, retiring in 1993.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Richard; six children: Jack (Susan) Wallace of Round Lake, IL, Sherry Wallace of Delavan, WI, Debbie (Todd) McConnell of Louisville, KY, Randy Wallace of Racine, WI, Greg (Kim) Wallace of Phoenix, AZ, and Becky (Mark) Busch of Lyons, WI; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Kremsreiter of Morton Grove, IL, and Carol Marx of Durand, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; former husband; and one brother, Al Brewer.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at ST. PATRICK’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 107 W. Walworth Street, Elkhorn, with Father Jim Schuerman officiating. Burial will be at Springfield-Union Cemetery, Springfield, WI. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. at HAASE-LOCKWOOD & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME, 730 N. Wisconsin Street, Elkhorn, WI.
