Arthur Carr Champlin, 63, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. He was born Aug. 10, 1949, in Beloit, the son of Ernest L.G. and Eloise Virginia (West) Champlin. Arthur attended South Beloit and Beloit Schools. After 59 wonderful years with his mother, he moved to Dungarvin Group home in Janesville, WI, prior to moving to Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. Arthur was employed by Kandu Industries for 45 years. He attended People’s Church, Beloit, WI. Arthur enjoyed listening to music, bowling, fishing, attending summer camps, and Special Olympics. He was a Green Bay Packer fan.
Survivors include his mother, Eloise Virginia Champlin of Beloit; two sisters, Jacqualin Champlin and Mary Jo (Juan) Galvan, both of Beloit; brother, Ernest L.G. (Lynda) Champlin Jr. of Beloit; nephew, Mike (Amanda) Champlin of WY; great niece, Hannah Champlin of WY; aunt, Melicent (Neal) Bodanske of Big Bend, WI; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father; two sisters; a brother; and nephew, Ernest L.G. Champlin III.
Arthur’s family would like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers and staff at Dungarvin, Catholic Charities, St. Mary’s Hospital, Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing, Kandu Industries, Beloit Regional Hospice, and all the other organizations and people too numerous to mention that touched Arthur’s life.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI with Pastor Ron Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service in the FUNERAL HOME.
