Victor L. Dyer, Milton, WI  (1944 - 2012)

October 28, 1944 - July 3, 2012
Victor L. Dyer, age 67, of Milton, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Richland Center, WI, on Oct. 28, 1944, the son of the late Harold and Lorena (Weeden) Dyer. Victor moved to Springfield, MO, as a child and graduated from High School there. Victor proudly served his country in the US Army from 1963 until he was Honorably discharged in 1966. On Oct. 24, 1966, in Caledonia, MN, he married Jo Anne Jameson.
Due to his declining health, Victor retired in 1994, from Morgan Corporation in Janesville after 18 years of service and prior worked for Larson Canning Co. in Fort Atkinson. Victor was a very loving and compassionate husband, father and grandfather, who along with his wife were proud foster parents to many children. A very devoted member of his church, Victor always put his faith and trust in the Lord. Even though Victor's poor health slowed him down, he never complained or felt sorry for himself; "If this was the hand I was dealt, I will play it to the best of my ability!" He also was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed hunting in his earlier years.
Victor is survived by his wife, Jo Anne; two children, whom he was very proud of: Rachel (Michael) Palumbo of Janesville, and Andrew (Barbara) Dyer of Janesville; grandchildren whom he adored: Lisa, Dale, Whitney and Taylor; "special son," Kerry (Donna) Storbakken of Janesville; and many foster children who looked up to him. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Frank Jameson of Edgerton; brothers and sisters-in-law: Darlene Jameson of Bangor, WI, Jonathon and Linda Jameson of Kenosha, WI, Alfred and Susan Jameson of Cambridge, WI, Mary and Robert Gagner of Bangor, WI, David and Kathy Jameson of Cambridge, WI, and Donna Dyer of Athens, GA; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Janice; three brothers: Roger, Gary and David; and his mother-in-law, Lois Jameson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at CROSS POINT COMMUNITY CHURCH, 44 2nd St., Milton, with Pastor Craig Thomas and Victor's brother-in-law, Pastor Jonathon Jameson officiating. Interment will be in Milton Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the WHITCOMB - LYNCH - ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, Milton, and again on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
