Mary A. Norton, Lake Geneva, WI (1926 - 2012)
Mary A. Norton, 85, a longtime resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Facility in Johnson Creek, WI. The former Mary Ann Miller was born in Rhinelander, WI, on July 11, 1926, the daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Miller. She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1946. On June 21,1946, in Elkhorn, WI, she was united in marriage to Joseph E. Norton; he preceded her in death on June 15, 1986. She had worked for over 23 years at Albert Trostel’s in Lake Geneva, retiring in 1989. She was an avid bowler.
Mary is survived by three children: Linda (Keith Jass) of Whitewater, WI, Darrell (Betty) Norton of Pell Lake, WI, and Joseph C. Norton of Anaheim, CA; five grandchildren: Darrell Norton Jr., Evelyn Norton, Darlene (Richard) Jensen, Bryan Robers, and Chad Robers; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen M. Norton; a granddaughter, June Norton; two brothers, Arthur and Chuck Miller; and three sisters: Catherine and Elizabeth Miller, Pauline MacGarvie, Louella Kelter, and Lorraine McWhorter.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of DERRICK FUNERAL HOME, 800 Park Dr., Lake Geneva, WI, Chaplain Shannon Finger of Rainbow Hospice will officiate.
