Sally J Field, Janesville, WI  (1935 - 2012)

Sally J. Field, age 77, a longtime Janesville resident, passed away early Friday, June 22, 2012, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born May 24, 1935, in Milton, WI, the daughter of the late John F. "Jack" & Ruth (Hutchins) Manogue. She attended school in Milton, and was a graduate of Milton High School, Class of 1953. Sally worked for Gibbs Manufacturing Co. in Janesville, and while working there met her future husband, Douglas B. Field. They were married on August 8, 1964, in Janesville. Doug preceded her in death on October 14, 2009. She worked for years as a clerk in the House-wares Dept. for Shopko, until her retirement in 1999. Sally was a long-time active member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Janesville. She was an avid gardener, and loved fishing, sewing, quilting, and crafting. She loved taking her fishing trips up north with Doug, and spending time with their family! She was a great cook and baker, and will be remembered for her Pecan Pies and her Baked Spaghetti. Sally was a most dedicated Mom to all her children, and was very supportive of them in every way she could be! Sally was also an avid Brewer and Packer fan, and also enjoyed NASCAR, especially Matt Kenseth!
She is survived by her six children: Carol (Steve) Buckner, of St. Charles, MO, Ron (Brenda) Garske, of Sun Prairie, WI, Brian (Jenny) Field, of Janesville, Daniel Field, of Anniston, AL, Janet (Cliff) O'Beirne, of Janesville, and Judy Field, of Rockford, IL; her eight beloved grandchildren: Michael, Nicole, Laura (William), Jenny (Keith), Kerri, Alexia (Nick), Austin, and Alexis; her seven dear great-grandchildren: Oliver, Henry, Tristan, Mariella, Orion, Lucia, and Autumn; her three sisters: Judy (Frank) Thom, of San Bernardino, CA, Margaret (John) Ahrens, of Edgerton, WI, and Ruth (Richard) Lehmann, of Madison, WI; her brother, Bill (Dianne) Manogue, of Mt. Hope, WI; and by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Aileen Burnam; and her two brothers, Tom Manogue and John M. "Micky" Manogue.
Funeral services with a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1250 E. Racine St., with Fr. Bill Nolan officiating.
Entombment will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call on Sunday from 4 until 6 p.m. at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH-ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, JANESVILLE, 21 S. Austin Rd., or on Monday, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH.
