Kenneth J. Koutnik, age 82, of Williams Bay, WI, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Williams Bay Care Center in Williams Bay. He was born July 14, 1930, in Chicago, IL, the son of Joseph and Sophie (Hemak) Koutnik. He married Dorothy Schneider May 16, 1953, in Chicago.
Ken was a Locomotive Engineer for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for 43 years. He was a member of the Southwestern Wisconsin Buckskinners Assoc. and a life member of the National Rifle Assoc. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, master carver and woodworker.
Ken is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Williams Bay; four children: Kenneth C. (Toni) of Williams Bay, Kathleen (Doug) Swangren of Williams Bay, Karen L. (James) Ballje of Delavan, WI, and Kim (Edward) Guss of Delavan; nine grandchildren: Casey, Emily and Jon Swangren, Kristopher and Karilynn Koutnik, E. Charles, Kaitlin, Alexander and Michael Guss; and many loving nieces & nephews.
Private memorial services will be held.
The family requests memorials be directed to Lakeland Animal Shelter or Williams Bay Rescue Squad.
