Robert C. Keeler, 55, of 9204 E. Creek Road, #48, Clinton, WI, died Saturday, Oct. 27, at UW Madison Hospital following a long illness. He was born Oct. 3, 1957, in Evanston, IL, the son of Edward J. and Dorothy Ann (Duerr) Keeler. He attended school at Reek Elementary, Fontana, WI; Big Foot High School, Walworth, WI; and Automotive Technical College in Fennimore, WI. He married Robin L. Neblock on Feb. 14, 1994, in Beloit, WI.
Robert worked for C & J Manufacturing in Richmond, IL, as a Prototyper for 17 years and at Bergamot Brass Works in Delavan, WI, for 10 years. He was an accomplished Autobody Tech Painter for Freund International and Alliance Trailer. His skills were also demonstrated at American Champion Aviation in Waterford, WI, where he painted fabric aircrafts.
Robert was a total outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, snow skiing and hiking. He held a private pilot and helicopter license, but most of all he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife; son, Jason B. (Julia) Keeler of Beloit; daughter, Kelliann C. Keeler of Clinton; one sister, Carolyn Keeler of Fond du Lac, WI; two brothers, E. John (Pam) Keeler of Walworth, WI, and James (Jim) Keeler of Zenda, WI; one niece, Kasey Keeler; and a nephew, Johnny Keeler, both of Walworth, WI.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at ROSMAN, UEHLING, KINZER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE on Friday, Nov. 9th, from 4 until 7 p.m.
