Joyce B. Miller, Morristown, TN/Formerly Janesville (2012)

Joyce B. Miller, age 87, of Morristown, TN, formerly of Janesville, WI, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Emeritus at Terrace Estates. Mrs. Miller lived in Janesville most of her life where she was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church. She worked for Janesville School System for 26 years as secretary for the Guidance Office until she retired in 1986. She was also active at St. John Lutheran Church, Friends of Janesville Public Library, was a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile, and “ECHO”. She was a member of two golf leagues at Blackhawk Golf Course. She enjoyed playing golf, bridge and traveling with friends. Mrs. Miller moved to Morristown in 2008, where she was a member of The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Miller; parents, James L. and Marie A. (Hoegger) Ritchie. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Constance Tobisch of Berlin, Germany and Susan (Jim) Whiting of Bean Station, TN; son, Roger Miller of Janesville, WI; grandchildren, Nate Whiting of Arlington, VA, and Heather (Jeremy) Guillory of Katy, TX; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Holly Guillory of Katy, TX; and brother, Everett (Gladys) Ritchie of Tucson, AZ.
A celebration of life service will be held Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at 3 p.m. at GOOD SHEPARD LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Leslie Wilder officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to The Good Shepard Lutheran Church Morristown, TN, in memory of Joyce B. Miller.
