Norman A. Bern, formerly of Janesville, WI, died on Sept. 19, 2012, in Houston, TX. He was born on Oct. 16, 1955, to Robert and Roberta (Phillips) Bern. Everyone that knew him knows he loved God, his family, and music. He was a talented musician and singer, participating in multiple choirs, bands, orchestras, and ensembles in addition to teaching music and directing bands for middle and high school students all of his career. Norm is best remembered for his compassionate spirit and great sense of humor. Norm is survived by his daughter, Amy of Loves Park, IL, and son, Alan (Krystal) Bern of McHenry, IL.
A memorial service to celebrate Norm's life is being held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012 at 11 a.m. at FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH, 3414 Woodhall Drive, Janesville, WI. The family was previously assisted by Claire Brothers Funeral Home as well as Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Houston, TX.
