Tracey Flaherty Boyd, Atlantis, FL/formerly Janesville (2012)

Tracey Flaherty Boyd, 64, of Atlantis FL, formerly of Janesville, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. Tracey was an incredibly well-loved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a warm and gracious host to the many friends and relatives who regularly visited her home, earning it the nickname “The Boyd Hotel.”
Tracey received her Master’s degree in Education from Florida Atlantic University and taught at St. Ambrose School, where she met her husband, Bill. She and Bill then went into the wholesale tropical plant business and operated Boyd Nurseries since 1979.
Tracey is deeply missed by her husband, Bill; her son, Adam (Amy) Boyd; her daughter, Erin (Rembert) Kappelhof; her grandchildren: Jonas, Ella and Lydia Boyd, Willem and Henry Kappelhof; and her sisters, Trish and Nancy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Marianne Flaherty.
A memorial service was held at the Atlantis Country Club on August 12th.
