Charles Milford Lund, Janesville, WI  (1927 - 2012)

Charles Milford Lund, age 85, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, in Janesville. He was born in Rock Co, the son of Martin and Anna (Anderson) Lund. Charlie served in the Korean War from 1951–1957, and was a member of the Reserves. He was formerly employed by Fulton Lumber Company, and GM Assembly, both of Janesville. He was well-known in Rock County for his horseshoeing.
Charles is survived by a son, Robert (Sandy) of Beloit; daughter, Shirley Lund of Westboro; four grandchildren: Jessica Halverson, Michael Lund, and Alex and Avery August; six great-grandchildren; and his sister, Anna Mae Adams of Beloit. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Melvin, Norman, Edwin and Norval; and sisters, Mildred and Oleda.
Funeral services will be held at NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, Hwy 11 and South Coon Island Road, Orfordville, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012, and a visitation will be held prior to the service on Wednesday from 10:30 until the time of service. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery.
