Lawrence W. "Larry" Kiefert, Janesville, WI  (1943 - 2012)

Lawrence “Larry” W. Kiefert, 69, of Janesville, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, WI. He was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Milwaukee WI, the son of William and Esther (Willman) Kiefert. Larry attended Milwaukee Schools and was a 1962 graduate of Kewaskum High School. He married Pamela Keister on June 7, 1975, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Beloit, WI.
Larry enjoyed working as a public servant at the Rock County Court House in Beloit. He loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packer football and Duke University basketball teams. Larry was an avid movie buff and traveler. He loved boating, fishing, bowling and golfing. His great pride in his family sustained him in his courageous 12 year battle with leukemia.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela Kiefert; sons: Kevin (Chris) Kiefert, Bryan (Mary) Kiefert, and Scott Kiefert; daughters, Laurie (Frank) Brooks and Lisa (Mike) Huettel; seven grandchildren: Alexander and Gabrielle Kiefert, Brandyn Brooks, Stephanie and Ryan Huettel, Nicole and Megan Kiefert; sister, Carolyn (Vern) Huiras; and her children: George, Steve, Kathy and Michele; his very close circle of family love encompassed Victor and Joyce Keister, Lynn and Bill Dement, Mike and Kim Keister, David Keister, Belinda, Brad, Breanna and Brock; and very dear friend, Gary Jones. He was predeceased by his parents.
Private services will be held for the family. DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements.
