Ron Owen, age 69, of Bloomington, IN, passed away on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at IU Bloomington Hospital. He was born the son of Lewis Miles Johnson and Anita (Stewart) Johnson in Cottage Grove, OR, on Dec. 3, 1942, and was raised by Cecil R. Owen and Anita Owen in Janesville, WI. He graduated from Janesville Sr. High in 1960. He worked for Dana Corporation for 40 years. Ron married Ann Owen on Aug. 2, 1980. The “Big O” was an avid Packer fan.
Ron is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ann, of Bloomington; one daughter, Marianne (David) Bleiler; one son, Jon Owen; four sisters: Carla (Paul) Hubler, Kathy (William) Van Der Vegt, Sully (Ted) Wright and Rebecca (Dennis) Grip; one brother, Daniel (Gene) Owen; six nephews: David Krapf, Paul Krapf, Joseph Krapf, Bradley Wright, Russel Woerth and Ryan Owen; four nieces: Brenda Woerth, Ginger Woerth, Angela Wright and Erica Owen; eleven grandchildren: Erin (Steve) Browne, Owen Donahue, Joshua (Megan) Bleiler, Megan Bleiler, Rachel (Daniel) Cameron, Owen Bleiler, Grace Bleiler, Hannah Bleiler, Caleb Bleiler, Emily Bleiler and Cale Owen; and many other extended family members and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents.
