Arlene M. Hoffman, age 89, of Madison, formerly Janesville, died peacefully in the company of her family on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI. She was born May 15, 1923, in Janesville, the middle child of Adrian and Margaret (Greykowski) DeBlaey. She attended the Wisconsin School for the Blind in Janesville. She ran the Blue Cross employee’s cafeteria in Milwaukee following school. She married Vernon Hoffman on Aug. 25, 1956, in Janesville, where they spent most of their years. They lived in Madison in recent years. Arlene spent her last year at All Saints Assisted Living.
Arlene is survived by her husband, Vernon of Madison; a daughter, Marie (Larry) Koch of Madison; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Leslie DeBlaey and Adrian DeBlaey, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at ST. PETER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5001 N. Sherman Avenue, with Msgr. Charles O. Schluter presiding. Visitation will be at the CHURCH on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be at Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Union Grove.
