Diane K. Nelson, 66, of Palmer Road, Lake Geneva, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at home surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 30, 1946, the daughter of the late Harlow and Iris (Williams) Leonard. She graduated from Elkhorn High School with the Class of 1964. Diane was united in marriage to Robert D. Nelson at Como Community Church on Jan. 27, 1973. Diane worked for over 21 years with Wisconsin Southern Gas Company. In 1988, she started her own business, Prairie View Home a CBRF, which she owned and operated until she retired due to ill health in 2012. Diane enjoyed working in her yard tending to her flower gardens, she enjoyed bowling and going to rummage sales.
Diane is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Robert; six sisters: Gerri (Steve) Polyock of Zenda, WI, Jeannie (Dave) Lawlor of East Troy, WI, Patti Wilson of Delavan, WI, Mary Ellen (Jim) Wierzba of Janesville, WI, and Linda (Chris) Goes of Delavan, WI; two brothers, Richard (Sue) Leonard of Delavan, and William (Wendy) Leonard of Burlington, WI. She is further survived by a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Harlow and Iris Leonard; in-laws, Vic and Mae Nelson; son, Craig; and one brother, Kenneth.
