Frances M. Wittig, 89, of Delavan, formerly of Williams Bay, WI, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at the Lakeland Health Care, Elkhorn, WI. Frances was born April 24, 1923, in Janesville, WI, the daughter of Frederick and Margaret (Noonan) Moore. She was united in marriage to Wilmer G. Wittig on Nov. 22, 1947, in Janesville, WI. He preceded her in death on Oct. 30, 1981. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, Delavan, WI. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Janesville High School. Frances was a great Fan of the Green Bay Packers and an avid bowler for many years. She was employed at Parker Pen Co. in Janesville, Borgs in Delavan, and the Bay Grocery Store in Williams Bay, for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie (Wayne) Sorvala of Lake Linden, MI, and Sally (Randy) Keach of Eagle River, WI; sons, Wilmer "Bill" (Vicki) Wittig of Oak Lawn, IL; and Joseph (Lori) Wittig of Elkhorn; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Thomas Witting; a sister, Florence Rash; and a brother, Robert Moore.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26th, at the STEINKE FUNERAL HOME, Lake Geneva, with Fr. Jim Schuerman of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be at the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Delavan Twnp., WI. Visitation will be held at the FUNERAL HOME from 12 Noon until the time of the service.
