Gerald L. Reigle, 67, of Beloit, died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, in his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1945, in Janesville, WI, the son of Roy and Marilyn (Pinnow) Reigle. Gerald married Linda R. Elliott April 6, 1962, in Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1962, and was stationed with the 1st Air Calvary, where he was called to the Vietnam War as a Combat Medic during the 1967-1968 Tet Offensive. He received several awards and retired from the U.S. Army in 1982. Gerald graduated from Blackhawk Technical College in 1988, as a RN. He was then employed by Beloit Memorial Hospital as a Charge Nurse in the O.R., retiring in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Reigle of Beloit; four children: David Reigle of Tampa, FL, John (Deb) Reigle of Wisconsin, Brenda Collelo of Florida, and Jerry (Chris) Reigle of Beloit; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers; five sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister-in-law, Lorna Pennywell; two brothers-in-law, Kurt Strothman and Art Elliott; and nephew, Jason Partridge.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in the DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Reverend Roger Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be given to the family.
