Casey J. Mikrut, Lake Como, WI  (1926 - 2012)

Casey J. Mikrut, 86, died at his home in Lake Como, on Wednesday the 21st of Nov., 2012. Casey John Mikrut was born in Chicago, IL, on Jan. 11, 1926, to the late Stanley and Agnes (Paprocki) Mikrut. Casey was a veteran and served with the U.S. Army. Casey was united in marriage to the former Bertha E. Ross on the 5th of Jan. in 1957, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Lake Geneva. Casey was owner of Mikrut Reality and past owner of the Como Inn for 35 years. Casey was a member of St. Francis De Sales Church; he was also a Eucharistic Minister and Usher.
Casey was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1647, and Frank Kresen American Legion Post 24 in Lake Geneva, and he was also a member of the Water Sportsmen. Casey was a past member of the Lakes Area Realtors Association and the Wisconsin Relators.
Casey is survived by Bertha, his wife of 55 years; five children: John (Cheryl) Mikrut of Lake Geneva, Diane (Gary) Cocroft of Lake Geneva, Janet Winters of Adams, WI, Mary (Daniel) Lauderdale of Lake Geneva, and Patti (Klaus) Aagaard of Algonquin, IL. He is survived by his nine grandchildren: Heather (Chris) Lindloff, Brad Mikrut, Ryan (Jessica) Cocroft, Caitlin Cocroft, Christopher (Heather) Winters, Michael (Erica) Lauderdale, Kayla Lauderdale, Kristin Aagaard, and Erin Aagaard; five great-grandchildren: Logan and Connor Lindloff, and Logan, Ethan, and Brooklyn Winters. Casey is also survived by two brothers, Stanley (June) Mikrut of Lake Geneva, and Walter (Delores) Mikrut of Harvard, IL; and one sister, Virginia (Bob) Glickenburger of Belvidere, IL.
Casey was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Agnes Mikrut; a sister, Eugenia Mikrut; and two brothers, Eugene and Stephan Mikrut.
A Mass of Christian burial will be said at 11 a.m. Monday the 26th of Nov. at ST. FRANCIS DE SALES CATHOLIC CHURCH in Lake Geneva, WI. Father Angel Anaya will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Francis De Sales Catholic cemetery.
