Daisy Vivian Stallman, Walworth, WI (1928 - 2012)

Daisy Vivian Stallman passed away peacefully at her home on Nov. 22, 2012, with her dog, Mr. Beau, by her side. Daisy was born on Sept. 1, 1928, to Arthur and Minnie Nicholson Dye in Adams County, WI. Later, she and her mother moved to Milwaukee, WI, where she finished school. While working in Darien, as a waitress she met and fell in love with her soul mate, a handsome young policeman, George Stallman. George and Daisy were married on April 22, 1955, in Poynette, WI. Daisy worked at the post office in Walworth, WI, until she retired. In 1992, Daisy lost her beloved husband, George. She, then, worked at Badger Barrels, while residing in Walworth with Ernie and Gerri Stallman and the many canine friends who came and went, including her beloved poodle, Cinnamon.
Daisy was baptized into the House of the Lord on Dec. 26, 1993, where she now resides in peace.
Daisy is survived by her son, Ernest (Gerri) Stallman; nieces: Marilyn (Glenn) Strohmeyer of California, Annette Manasco of Washington, Ruth Van Tassel of Wind Lake, WI, Rosie (Carl) Revels of Neilsville, WI, Carol Stevens of Grand Marsh, WI, Betty (Dennis) Ulmer of Zion, IL, Dorothy Freed of Edgerton, WI, Kathy (Robert) Neilson of Baraboo, WI, Sandy Delongchamp of Baraboo, WI, and Eva Lumby of Shelton, WA; nephews: Don Erickson of Oregon, Robert (Pat) Dye of Adams, WI, Jerry Dye of Adams, WI, Norman (Grace) Radtke of River Falls, WI, Wayne (Carol) Radtke of Madison, WI, Orley Rounds of Oregon, Clarence Lumby of Oregon, and Albert Haskins of Oregon. Also, a special great-niece, Suzanne Radtke of Madison, WI; and a great-great nephew, Nathan Freed of Edgerton, WI. Also a very special thank you to two of Gods angels, Steve and Linnea Kinney of Walworth.
Daisy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George; her parents, Arthur and Minnie Dye of Adams, WI; sisters: Elizabeth Pyell of Oregon, Linda Haskins of Oregon, and Doris Radtke of Oxford, WI; her brothers: Jimmy Dye of Adams, WI, Lyle Dye of Milwaukee, WI, and Clarence Dye of Adams, WI; and her beloved brother-in-law, Albert (Hops) Radtke, who read her bedtime stories when she was a young girl.
You will be greatly missed our beloved “Aunt Daisy”.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME with Rev. Deborah Howland officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Tibbets, WI. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Humane Society, Walworth, or Fontana Fire & Rescue.
