Margaret M. Spangler, 84, died Nov. 19, 2012, at home. Born in St. Louis County, Duluth, MN, on July 2, 1928, to Edward and Esther Layden.
Margaret lived in Janesville since 1929, attending St. Patrick School, Janesville High and was employed several years as a waitress at the Monterey Hotel.
Margaret is survived by husband, Robert; children: Patricia (Darryl) Downing of Indiana; Julie Spangler (Charles Grindrod) of Madison, WI, and Mark Spangler of Janesville; one brother, James Layden (Joyce) of New Jersey; three grandchildren: Sean Downing, Robbie and Joey Grindrod.
She was predeceased by a son, Martin John; and six siblings.
