Judith Bostian, Janesville  (1939 - 2012)

Judith Bostian, 73, died at University Hospital on Oct. 4, 2012, as a result of complications from a traffic accident on Aug. 29, 2012. She was born in Beloit, on March 13, 1939, the older daughter of Donald Morris Erikson and Ruth Norton Erikson. The family moved to Janesville, when she was five and she lived in Janesville, the rest of her life, except for several years in the Philadelphia area in the 60s. She graduated from Craig High School and, then, from University of Wisconsin in 1962, with a major in History and Political Science.
Judith married Eugene Bostian on April 29, 1971. She was a "professional volunteer", serving two terms on the Janesville School Board, on many non-profit boards and as a volunteer at the Hedberg Public Library for a number of years, as well as, the Alter Guild and the Vestry at Trinity Episcopal Church. She was a member of P.E.O. chapter AY.
Judith is survived by her husband, Eugene; two sons from her first marriage, Michael (Roberta) Goodnough of rural Stoughton, and Thomas Goodnough of Fort Walton Beach, FL; and one son from her second marriage, Paul (Melissa) Bostian of Indainapolis, IN. She is also survived by her sister, Jane (Gary) Dunk of Bonita Springs, FL; and three grandchildren: Elisabeth Goodnough, Mason Goodnough and Jillian Bostian.
A memorial service celebrating Judith's life will be held at TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH in Janesville, on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, with visitation at 10 a.m. and the service to follow. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials would be appreciated to: Trinity Episcopal Church, the Hedberg Public Library, the Rock County Humane Society or P.E.O.
