Creal C. Marr, Janesville  (1918 - 2012)

Creal C. Marr, age 94, of Janesville, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Our House Senior Living, Whitewater. She was born at home in Janesville, on Feb. 10, 1918, the daughter of Walter and Retha (Leat) Hallett and was a graduate of Janesville High School. Creal married Joseph L. Marr in the 1940’s, and he preceded her in death in 1984. Although she worked in the home for most of her life, Creal had worked at the Alpine Restaurant baking pies amongst other duties in the kitchen. She absolutely loved playing Bingo and going to church.
Creal is survived by her three grandchildren: Tina (Ron) Long, Michael (Nicole Osgood) Cook, both of Janesville, and Frank (Jamie McMammond) Thomas of Rockford; 10 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Kyle, Kodee, Raven, Nathan, Katilynn, Rik, Frank, Tanya, and Macy; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Karen Cook; and five sisters: Thelma Cone, Bernice Hake, Nonanne Deiler, Georgia Chivers, and Jane Selgram.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at the SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, Janesville. Burial will follow in Lake View Cemetery, Fort Atkinson. Visitation will take place on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
