Curtis Lee Myatt, Safford, AZ/formerly Janesville (1933 - 2012)
September 13, 1933 - October 22, 2012
Curtis “Curt” Myatt, age 79, of Safford, entered into eternal rest Monday morning, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Sunset Hills Care and Rehab in Safford, AZ. Curt Lee Myatt was born on Sept. 13, 1933, in Janesville, WI, the son of Calvin Clark and Hazel Francis (Merritt) Myatt. He attended school in Janesville and served as a Corporal in the Army. Curt worked for GMAC for thirty years before retiring.
After retirement, he eventually settled in Safford, AZ, where he enjoyed golfing and warm weather. Dad occasionally enjoyed a golf game with some of his kids, even if they weren’t as “serious” about the game as he was! He was also a big Green Bay Packer and sports fan. He always had an opinion, whether his kids agreed with him or not.
Curt is survived by his children: Randy (Ruth) of Janesville, Jeff (Lisa) of New London, OH, Karen Myatt of Janesville, Robert of Reno, NV, John of Janesville, Ann Myatt (Deb Brower) of Madison, WI, and Susan Myatt of Madison; his grandchildren: Jason Myatt (Angela), Joseph and Nathaniel Myatt, Mandy Acre, Nicholas, Samantha and Andrew Myatt; three great-grandchildren; his nieces and nephews; and his sister, Charlene Hoyt. Curt was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Clark and Hazel Francis (Merritt) Myatt; his brother, Howard; and his sister, Beverly.
As per Curt’s wishes, there will be no services. A family Burial will be planned for a later date in Janesville. In Lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials can be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, www.alz.org, or a charity of your choice.
A Special Thank You to the Staff and Assistants at Sunset Hills Care and Rehab, for their loving care of Curt.
Love You Dad, Your Kids.
