Earl A. Carlson II, Williams Bay, WI  (1934 - 2012)

WILLIAMS BAY, WI—Earl A. Carlson, II, age 78, of Williams Bay, WI, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2012. He was born in Chicago, IL, to Earl and Mae Carlson on May 19, 1934. He graduated from Taft High School in Chicago, and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Science at the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, IL. He served in the United States Army as a lieutenant. He earned his Master's Degree in Marketing from the University of Chicago. He was the Baritone in the Grandfather's Clock Barbershop Quartet, the New Tradition Chorus, and the Country Gentlemen Chorus. He sang in church choirs, musical comedies, at the Mars Bar and family gatherings. Earl and Joyce sang beautiful harmony in their duets.
Earl was the beloved husband of Joyce Nilsson Carlson; loving father of E. Andrew, Brian, Eric (Nita), and Matthew (Alane) Carlson; loving stepfather of Allan (Toni) and Jason Morgan; and dear grandfather of Karina, Noelle and Declan Carlson and Callista, Christopher and Joy Morgan; a fond brother of Judy (Don) Borta; and a cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at 11 a.m. at LINN PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, W335 Willow Road, Lake Geneva, WI, 53147.
TOYNTON FUNERAL HOME of Walworth, WI, is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association in Earl’s name.
