Donald F. Disch, Janesville  (1926 - 2012)

Donald F. Disch, age 85, of Janesville, died on Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Huntington Place, Janesville. He was born in Montecello, on Dec. 6, 1926, the son of Henry and Cecile Leonce (Anderson) Disch. He was enlisted in the U.S. Army from June 1945 until November 1946, serving in the European Theater. He married Margaret Conway on June 2, 1951, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Janesville. Don worked as a Purchasing Agent for GMAD until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Elks Club, VFW and was active in the Golden K’s.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Margaret; four children: Phillip (Deborah) Disch of Shanghai, China, Annette (Eddie) Pile of Auburn, GA, Cindy (Steve) Jordan of Janesville, and Linda (Kerry) Johnson of Waukesha; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlene Gilbertson of Brodhead, and Becky (Dennis) Collins of Manitowoc; and three brothers: Robert Disch of Beloit, Rex (Ila) Disch of Brodhead, and Daryl (Joan) Disch of Evansville. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Disch; and a grandchild, Jesse Johnson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. Stephen J. Umhoefer officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the CHURCH.
