Arnold Jaeckel, age 77, of Jefferson, WI, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson, WI. Arnold was born in Fort Atkinson, on Aug. 20, 1935, the son of Fred and Anna (Luebke) Jaeckel. On May 25, 1963, Arnold married Lois Esther Saur in Fort Atkinson. Lois preceded him in death on Aug. 24, 1998. Arnold was a dairy farmer and implement dealer. In 1963, Arnold and his brother, Richard, began Jaeckel Brothers Excavating. His life was centered around his work. Arnold was a member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson.
Surviving are his children: Lori (Brian) Reichert of Jefferson, WI, James (Denise) Jaeckel of Jefferson, George (Becky) Jaeckel of Fort Atkinson, Andrew (Julie Koch) Jaeckel of Fort Atkinson, and Ben (Annette Banker) Jaeckel of Fort Atkinson; grandchildren: Kyle, Emily, James Jr., and John Jaeckel, and Michaela Banker;great-granddaughter, Aurora Reichert; sister, Anna Reich of Fort Atkinson, and sister-in-law, Barbara Jaeckel of Jefferson. He is further survived by nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Herman, Elmer, Raymond, Edgar, and Richard Jaeckel; and his faithful companion, Tucker.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at 11 a.m. at ST. PAUL'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 301 S. High Street, Fort Atkinson, WI. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Atkinson.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, 2012, AT ST. PAUL'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, Fort Atkinson, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at the CHURCH until the time of the services.
