Kenneth W. Kurth, Williams Bay, WI  (1919 - 2013)

Kenneth W. Kurth, age 93, of Williams Bay, WI, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Williams Bay Care Center in Williams Bay. He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in Chicago, the son of Charles T. and Bertha (Niemann) Kurth. He married Margaret Chappell on June 24, 1944, in Edison Park, IL. Ken was a World War II army veteran. He worked in sales at General Motors and Berry Bearing for many years. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Walworth, WI, Walworth-Fontana Rotary Club and a lifetime member of the Moose.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Margaret; four children: Kenneth Jr. (Carol) of Ocala, FL, Janet (Jack) Meredith of Lake Geneva, WI, Kathy (Michael) Karcher of Walworth, WI, and James (Christine) Kurth of Wauconda, IL; five grandchildren: Jay (Juliet), James (Sara), Jake Meredith, Jaime Munro, Shannon (Thomas) Wynn; three great-grandchildren: Colin Munro, Joshua and Rhys Meredith; four step-grandchildren: Brian (Julia) Karcher , Kevin Karcher, Kelly (Isai) Arellano and Heather (Robert) Watt; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Heather Kacurik.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at IMMANUEL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST in Walworth, with Pastor Roger Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Walworth Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from Noon until 4 p.m. Sunday, at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME and one hour prior to the service Monday at the CHURCH.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to Immanuel United Church of Christ or the Walworth-Fontana Rotary Club.
