Gail A. Losching, Janesville, WI (1941 - 2013)

Gail A. Losching, age 71, of Janesville, died on Feb. 3, 2013, at home. She was born in Madison, WI, on Sept. 29, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth Edward “Sparky” and Vivian Marie (Hiller) Godding. Gail was a 1960 graduate of Janesville High School and attended the former Whitewater State Teacher’s College. She married her high school sweetheart, Bernard A. Losching, on Dec. 17, 1960, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Janesville. He preceded her in death on Dec. 31, 2011. Gail was a member of First Lutheran Church. She was a former member of the Janesville Women’s Club serving on many committees and as Vice President. She was a member and volunteer at the YWCA on planning, events, and as a Crisis Line Prevention Center volunteer. Gail enjoyed playing tennis with many special friends at the former Janesville Indoor Tennis Club for years. She loved watercolor painting, especially making cards for her family and friends. Reading her own hardcover books was special to her. She enjoyed her lunch groups, especially with her grade school friends who were a great joy. Gail had a special penchant for finding four leaf clovers of which she had hundreds. She always said she was lucky, having the most wonderful family in the universe. Her children and grandchildren were her most precious gifts.
Gail is survived by her three children: Kipley Losching (Mark Erdman) of Milton, Tenya Losching (Steve DePaepe) of Kenilworth, IL, and Ayrand (Gregg) Robinson of Shenandoah, IA; seven grandchildren: Zachary Eide, Elizabeth Eide, Madeleine Robinson, Alexander Robinson, Andrew DePaepe, William DePaepe and Olivia DePaepe; two dearest sisters, Vikki Wong and Patricia Cusick, both of Janesville; and a dear brother, Gary (Norma) Godding of Janesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bernard; and a brother, Dean Godding.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, Janesville, with Rev. James Melvin officiating.
