Lewis R. Coulthard, Janesville  (1928 - 2013)

Lewis R. Coulthard, age 84, of Janesville, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 8, 2013, at Rock Haven. He was born June 20, 1928, in Darlington, WI, the first child of the late John Lewis and Edith Viola (Carpenter) Coulthard. Lewie was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked in several capacities for General Motors Corp. for over 38 years until his retirement. Prior to his years at GM, he also had worked as a cheesemaker, a cook, and had farmed.
On June 4, 1971, he married Brenda Lee Graham, and she preceded him in death in 2000. Lewie enjoyed watching old movies and listening to country music. He also enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan! He always loved going out to eat with friends or family, and was a regular at walking in the Janesville Mall.
Lewie is survived by his two step-sons, Michael (Connie) Graham and Timothy (Kim) Graham; his three brothers: Lloyd (Deb) Coulthard, Richard (Darlene) Coulthard, and Gary (Bettie) Coulthard, all of Janesville; eight sisters: Dorothy Bradley of Platteville, WI, Anna Mae White, Lona Parkinson, Joyce Stoddard, and Nancy Riesen, all of Darlington, WI, Dixie Arthur of Janesville, Patricia (William) Ranum of Warren, IL, and Rita Struthers of Belmont, WI; seven step-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren: 28 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and many friends. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elaine Delores; his brothers-in-law: Leo Bradley, Phil Parkinson, Jim Douglas, Don Stoddard, Robert Riesen, and Calvin Struthers; a niece, Vickie Sue; and a nephew, John Coulthard.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES. Entombment will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. Friends may call today from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
Lewie's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the wonderful staff of Rock haven, 3rd Floor, "Glen Lane", for the tremendous compassionate care they gave Lewie during his stay there!
