Rita M. O'Donnell, Janesville  (1947 - 2013)

Rita M. O'Donnell, age 66, of Janesville, passed away Friday morning, Feb. 8, 2013, at her home with her loving husband beside her. She was born Jan. 26, 1947, in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Clifford and Nelda (Emler) VanNatta. She attended school in Janesville, and was a graduate of Janesville High School, Class of 1965. On May 6, 1967, she was married to her husband, the love of her life, Robert O'Donnell, in Rockford, IL. Rita worked as an Assembler for S.S.I. Technology in Janesville, for over 23 years until the time of her passing. She was very talented and skilled in Ceramics, and had her own kiln at home. She also enjoyed reading. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, as they were most important to her!
Rita is survived by her husband, Bob; her two foster children, Tanjie Speer of Beloit, and Sean Conery of Janesville; her mother, Nelda VanNatta of Janesville; her brother, Jerry (Barb) VanNatta of New Lisbon, WI; her two sisters, Marge Wiemer of Gays Mills, WI, and Kathy Smith of Madison; eight grandchildren; her nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father and step mother, Clifford and Lois VanNatta.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES. Burial will take place in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Friends may call on Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the FUNERAL HOME.
