Walter F. Frey, Lake Geneva, WI  (1920 - 2013)

Walter F. Frey, 92, lifelong resident of the Lake Geneva area, died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Williams Bay Care Center. Walter Fredrick Frey was born Dec. 2, 1920, in Lake Geneva, to the late Fredrick and Emma (Mohns) Frey. Walter was a graduate of the 1938 class of the Lake Geneva High School. Walter was united in marriage to Carolyn Mereness on June 16, 1953, in Darien WI. Walter was a member of the Como Elementary School Board for 10 plus years. Walter was a farmer for 40 plus years.
Walter is survived by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn Frey; two sons, Allan (Jane) Frey of Delafield, WI, and Larry Frey of Lake Geneva; three grandchildren: Jocelyn, Melissa, and Brian Frey. Walter was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Doris Hatch.
Services for Walter will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, in the CHAPEL OF THE DERRICK FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES in Lake Geneva. Pastor Bob Peiffer, of the Community Church of Elkhorn, will be presiding. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family has requested donations to the Crusade for Christ mission trip to Ghana.
