Michael D. "Uncle Mike" Kenny, age 64, of Fontana, WI, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, WI. He was born Jan. 11, 1949, in Oak Park, IL, the son of John and Patricia (Queenan) Kenny. Michael was a retired Sgt. of the Chicago Police Department and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana.
Michael is survived by a brother, Patrick (Lisa) Kenny; and a sister, Mary (the late Frederick) Reed, both of Fontana; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, J. Thomas and James; and a sister, Mary Patricia.
Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at ST. BENEDICT CATHOLIC CHURCH in Fontana, with Father James McKitrick officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at TOYNTON'S WALWORTH FUNERAL HOME in Walworth, WI.
