Wayne E. Creasey, Brodhead, WI  (1926 - 2013)

Wayne E. Creasey, age 86, of Monroe, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home, Monroe. He was born on Sept. 11, 1926, in Sauk County, WI, the son of LeRoy and Bessie (Stowell) Creasey. His first marriage was to Evelyn Slinde on Aug. 27, 1949. She passed away in May of 1986. He then married Betty Williams on March 18, 1989. She passed away on Aug. 4, 2012. Wayne had worked for Highway Trailers of Stoughton, and Knight Manufacturing of Brodhead, until his retirement. He was a World War II Army Veteran and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and reading Westerns.
Wayne is survived by two daughters, Lois (Curtus) Walling of Baraboo, WI, and Karen (Melvin) Rouse of Beloit, WI; stepchildren: Linda (Wayne) Record of TN, Larry Washburn of AR, Gary (Diana) Williams of Silver Springs, NV, Rodney Williams of Edgerton, WI, Skip Williams of Brodhead, WI, and Eddie (Ruth) Bennett of Monroe, WI; a sister, Hazel Fuller of Beloit, WI; a sister-in-law, Myra Creasey of Arena, WI; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; two great-grandchildren, Korbin and Asher Moe; and two brothers, Pearl and Robert Creasey.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2013, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until time of services.
