Anthony Harley Guernsey, age 76, of Janesville, died on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at HospiceCare, Inc., Fitchburg. He was born in Milton on Oct. 13, 1936, the son of Harley and Edna (Zimbrich) Guernsey. He graduated from Milton High School, and the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Tony married Rita Ford in Janesville on Aug. 17, 1963. He was employed for his working years in Rockford, IL, retiring to Janesville in 2004.
Tony is survived by his wife, Rita Guernsey; his three children: Julia (Michael Love) Guernsey, Michael Guernsey, and Sarah (Richard Holland) Guernsey; and four grandchildren: Abby and Jack Kappelman, and Max and Hank Holland.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.
