Everett W. Hodd, Janesville  (1935 - 2013)

Everett W. Hodd, age 77, of Janesville, died on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. He was born in Beloit, on Oct. 28, 1935, the son of Fred and Edna (Hood) Hodd and was raised in Clinton, where he graduated from Clinton High School. He married Helen Larson Winchell in Rotary Gardens on Aug. 19. 2008. Everett had been employed by General Motors for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Janesville Church of Christ, UAW Local 95, Blackhawk Musky Club, Janesville Senior Center, and the Young at Heart Card Club. He loved fishing, gardening, playing cards, and his pets.
Everett is survived by his wife, Helen Hodd; four children: Cindy (Brian) Bickle of Elkhorn, Sue Eddy of Janesville, Fred (Lisa) Hodd of Madison, and Shelley (Steven) Knutson of Janesville; eight grandchildren: David Hodd, Mitchell and Andrew Eddy, Katie Winchell, Becky, Michelle, Rachel and Garrett Knutson; two great grandchildren, Lilianne and Kayden; four stepsons; five step grandchildren; two sisters, Maryanne (Jack) Winchester of Beloit, and Evelyn (Fred) Gunderson of Clinton; former wife and mother of his children, Jean Fossedal of Edgerton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and former wife, Jean Applewhite Hodd.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY with Adam Hollinsaid officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Interment will be in Clinton Cemetery.
