Julius T. Sklenar, age 90, of Delavan, WI, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Mercy-Walworth Medical Center in Lake Geneva, WI. He was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Polar WI, the son of Michael and Mary (Turza) Sklenar. Julius was united in marriage to Carolyn Wojcik on April 26, 1956, at St. Thomas Catholic in Beloit WI. He was employed as a Supervisor at Warner Electric Brake and Clutch Co. in Beloit, for many years. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Delavan, WI. He was a Veteran, serving with the U.S. Army.
Julius is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Delavan, WI; his daughters: Barbara (Gary) Oates of Florida, Elizabeth Sklenar of New Mexico, Laura (Jeff) Took of Wisconsin, and Diane (Kevin Cambell) Sklenar of Colorado; his son, Thomas Sklenar of California; eight grandchildren: Mark, Paul, Michael, Timber, Scarlet, Joseph, Abby and Kayla; two great-grandchildren, Mark and Paul; a sister-in-law, Jarlean Sklenar; and also many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at ST. ANDREW’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Delavan, with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating.
