Anne J (Fanning) Mochnick, Staten Island, NY/Ocala, Fl/Janesville, WI  (1922 - 2013)

Anne J. Mochnick, age 90, died peacefully at Huntington Place Memory care on Jan. 6, 2013. She was born in Staten Island to Patrick and Ellen (Mealia/O'Malley) Fanning. Anne met her husband, Edward Mochnick while hosting at the USO. They married in 1943, and raised their children, Jeffrey and Jerilyn in Staten Island. Anne worked at the Staten Island Advance and then at Wagner College as a paraprofessional. Anne and Ed retired to Florida in the 1970's.
Anne is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Carol) Mochnick; son-in-law, Don De Pete; granddaughters: Stacey Mochnick, Jessica De Pete (Jim Burke), Jillian De Pete (Chris) McMahon, Brenda (Joe) Stillmark, Jennifer (Jeremy) Willner; grandsons, Jeffrey Scott and Brian (Michelle) Scott; six great-granddaughters; three great-grandsons; sister-in-law, Edna Fanning; and many nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; daughter, Jerilyn De Pete; an infant son, Richard; five sisters and three brothers.
A private ceremony will be held by the family at a later date. The family was assisted by the NATIONAL CREMATION SOCIETY in Hudson, FL, and by the RYAN FUNERAL HOME, in Madison, WI.
Thanks to the caregivers at Huntington Memory Care Unit and Heartland Hospice for Anne's care and to all who tended to Anne's spiritual needs.
