Elizabeth (Betty) Jo Anderson (formerly Betty Genger), age 88, died Sept. 22, 2012, at the Eskaton Care Center in Fair Oaks, CA (near Sacramento, CA). Betty was born on June 29, 1924, in Madison, WI. She lived in Janesville, from 1955, until moving to California in 1998, to be near her children. Betty was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and First Lutheran Church, where she was active as a volunteer. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a Contract Bridge Life Master. The family would like to thank her longtime friends in Janesville, who remained in contact with her during the fifteen years she resided in California.
Betty is survived by her sister, Georgia Hetzel of Hartford, WI; her three children: Sharon (David) Arden of Sausalito, CA, Bruce (Lois) Genger of Sparks, NV, and Susan (Steve) Frank of Folsom, CA; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Anderson; her parents; one sister, Margaret Brown of Oshkosh; and one brother, Stuart Zwicky of Sun Prairie.
