JANESVILLE—Robert “Bob” K. Lawver, age 83, of Janesville, died on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at Cedar Crest. He was born in Sterling, IL, on Sept. 19, 1929, the son of Alvin and Jenny (McCarthy) Lawver. He married Carol M. Weber in Dubuque, IA, on Aug. 20, 1971, and together they moved to Janesville in 1985. Bob had been employed by Eagle Foods, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed playing golf and bridge.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Carol Lawver of Janesville; three children: Scott (Cari) Lawver of Baraboo, WI, Terri Reece of Roscoe, IL, and Janice (Jim) Hamilton of Beloit; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Gene (Bernice) Lawver of Rockford, IL; and three sisters-in-law: Kay Kuhse of IA, Ruth (Richard) Willmers of IA, and Lois (Ronald) Jungers of IA; many nieces; nephews; other extended family; and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin; and brother, John.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. Randy Timmerman officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 until 12 p.m. at the CHURCH.
