Lavern B. Foust, Evansville, WI (1920 - 2013)

Levern B. Foust, age 92, died unexpectedly on Jan. 20, 2013, at Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville. He was born on July 2, 1920, in Barron, WI, the son of William and Emma Rae (Holly) Foust. Levern married Betty Ptacek on Feb. 22, 1961, in Pine City, MN, and celebrated almost 52 years together. Levern worked for Baker Manufacturing in Evansville, for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors working in tobacco, hunting, fishing, gardening, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and like to watch wrestling. Levern loved his faith and truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Levern is survived by his wife, Betty of Evansville; three children: Gloria Foust of Madison, Garry (Mary) Foust and Sandy (Larry) Pierce, both of Janesville; five grandchildren: Dayleen (Craig) Yoerger, Casandra Johnson, Lisa (Sid) Johnson, Laura (Dan) Redders and Neil (Tara) Pierce; a sister, Mae Lorraine (Joe) Lombardo of Barron; two brothers, William Foust of Janesville, and Arvin (Marie) Foust of Texas; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Robin on Nov. 16, 2000; his parents; a brother, John; two sisters, Lois and Leona.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the WARD FUNERAL HOME, Evansville, with Reverend Thomas Moe of the Magnolia Advent Church officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in Maple Hill Cemetery, Evansville. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the FUNERAL HOME.
