Paul V. Will, Janesville  (1937 - 2013)

Paul Will, age 76, met his eternal rest on Jan. 20, 2013, at Cedar Crest Health Care Center, following complications due to surgery. Paul was born in Janesville, on Jan. 13, 1937, to Alice (Vobian) and George Will. He graduated from Janesville High School in 1955. He earned a Bachelor of Education in 1959, and a Master of Science in Teaching in 1969, both from UW Whitewater. He served in the US Army in the Red Arrow Division from 1961-66. He taught business education in Stockbridge (1959-60), Albany (1961-66), and at Janesville Senior High (1966-67). He went on to teach business education and serve as Department Instructional Manager at Parker Senior High School from 1967, until his retirement in 1984, due to Parkinson Disease. Paul was married to R. Mona Maibaum on Feb. 4, 1961. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2000. He married Nancy (Pache) Larson on June 30, 2002. Paul was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church since 1966, where he served on the church council, was treasurer of the Faith Lutheran Housing Corp., and participated in numerous Bible studies and other activities. He was a member of Golden K Kiwanis, the Elks Club, the Moose Club, the Janesville Area Retired Educators Association, and Delta Pi Epsilon. In his spare time and retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, golfing, and cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister; his wife, Mona; and his daughter, Judith. He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Nancy; daughter, Janel (John) Francis of Muskego; son-in-law, Stephen (Judith) Davidsz of New Berlin; step-children, Steven (Theresa Nield - fiancee) Larson of Evansville and Heidi (Dan Homstad) Larson of Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, Michael, Mackenzie, and Madison Francis and Alexa Davidsz; step-grandchildren, Lindsay, Nicholas, Jeffrey and Laura Larson, Sean and Jordan Homstad, Joshua (Nicole Hanson - fiancée) Davidsz, and Elisha (Scott) Anderson; and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Paul will be remembered for his devotion to family, his dedication to the hundreds of students he taught and teachers he inspired, for his strong faith, generous spirit, gentle heart, and witty humor.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital, Edgerton Care Center, Cedar Crest, and Agrace HospiceCare for the outstanding care and comfort given to Paul and those who shared his journey.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 11 a.m. at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2116 Mineral Point Avenue, with Pastors Anne and David Andert officiating. Visitations will be held Friday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 21 S. Austin Road, and at the CHURCH before the service, beginning at 9:30 am. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, or the Wisconsin Parkinson Association at 945 N. 12th Street, Suite 4602, Milwaukee, WI 53233.
