Vincent R. Janes, Olympia, KY/formerly Janesville  (1949 - 2013)

Vincent R. Janes of Olympia, KY, formerly of Janesville, WI, joined the angels in heaven Jan. 24, 2013. Vince was born in Green County, WI, Jan. 25, 1949, to Roscoe and June Janes. He married Vicki Severt in 1970. Vince married Margaret (Peggy) Regez-Riley on June 2, 1984. He was employed by many trucking companies, retiring from Roadway Express in 2004.
Vince and Peggy bought a small farm in Kentucky, and in March of 2004, began their retirement. In Kentucky, Vince took an active role in training Tennessee Walking Horses as well as beginning a herd of Irish Dexter (miniature) cattle. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. The outdoors was his cathedral!
Surviving are his wife, Peggy; former spouse, Vicki Severt; one son, Shawn (Angela) Janes of Albany WI; three daughters: Angela (Nate) Frey of Eau Clair, WI, Emily Riley of Janesville, WI, and Anna (Joseph) Riley-Randolph of Olive Hill, KY; one sister, Connie (Bill) Drew of Janesville; one brother, Mark (Anna) Janes of Monticello, WI; four grandchildren: Brittany and Brandon Janes of Albany WI, Antonio Nicholas and Emma Rose Riley of Olive Hill, Ky.
The family wants to thank Tommy and Sheila Johnson, Marvin and Sheila Crouch, and Teresa and Steve Castle for all their love and support through Vince’s illness and miraculous recovery from double leg amputations and heart complications. Another heart felt thank you to the efforts of Dr. David Victor without whom we would have lost Vince two years ago.
A private memorial service will take place later this spring.
