Robert J. Britt, Delavan, WI  (1919 - 2013)

Robert J. Britt, age 94, of Delavan, WI, joined his beloved wife, Marion, in eternal peace on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. Bob was born Jan. 17, 1919, in Delavan, WI, the son of Rallo and Blanche (Wheelock) Britt. Bob was united in marriage to Marion Henry on April 5, 1942, in Fort Atkinson WI. She preceded him in death on Aug. 31, 2010. He was a machinist at the Borg’s Corporation in Delavan, for many years, then with several others, became a founder, owner and operator of Swiss-Tech in Delavan. Along with his wife, Marion, he was a long time member of Christ Episcopal Church in Delavan. Bob was a Veteran, serving with the U.S. Army Air Force.
Bob is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (Dennis) Lahey of CA, and Deborah (Edward) Conrad of Racine, WI; his son, Mark Britt of Lake Geneva, WI; and two grandchildren, Brandon and Shannon. Also surviving are nieces and nephews; and a dear special friend, Helen Talis of Delavan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marion; one brother, Walter; and his sister-in-law, Gwen.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at the CHRIST EPISCOPAL CHURCH in Delavan, WI, with Rev. John Splinter officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at the CHURCH. Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan, WI, with full military honors provided by Delavan Legion Post 95.
