First and foremost I would like to thank all firefighter and EMS workers, both career and volunteer for the work that you selfishly perform. I know from experience that the work can sometimes be less that desirable and many times done without much of a thank you, so again thank you. Now to the “meat and potatoes” . By no means do I want to come across as a Monday morning quarterback and certainly I understand that this photo only represents a very small window of time though out the course of this incident. I also understand that adrenaline runs high sometimes, especially when a fellow bother is involved. However never let your vision be blurred and remember that scene safety for all is our responsibility. If you study the picture I am sure you will be able to recognize what some may consider unsafe acts. I hope that the fire service can use this incident and learn from it. Enough of that, I am glad that the occupants of this vehicle are doing well and that no one was seriously injured. In closing remember “everyone goes home” and something my mother always told me “ you cannot help anyone if you never get there.”

This is unfortunate, the injuries, the loss of a newer and very expensive fire apparatus to the community.
I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but I belong to several Emergency Services forums, and this type of incident happens weekly across the nation.
"Tenders" (tankers) are top heavy, and prone to roll over, more so than a regular engine. They may be two or more times as heavy as an engine, and thus require driving habits to be adjusted.
