Off Highway 11 in Janesville sit one of MacFarlane Pheasants facilities that comprise 150 acres of land. Here, pheasants will be raised until around 6 months of age and then be moved here for over-wintering where lighting will trick the pheasants internal clocks into creating eggs in March instead of April.
