9 point buck shot on opening day outside Edgerton. Grunted and snort wheezed him in from 300-400 yards away, across a highway, while a train was going through our land, to a 20 yard shot!

camp: Not saying it isn't a good method of hunting. You see grunting and rattling deer all the time on t.v. But I would remember, as any hunter, weather it was 5 or 7 deer that I grunted in at once. Sounds like you have just a little more "talent" or "success" in Bull SH!#@$@ than your brother.

TO BBRINCNC:
I can personally confirm the grunting in of this buck from 3 to 400 yards. I sat the same stand as this buck was shot from where there are 20ft wide fence lines running out to and accross the hwy which make excellent natural funnels. As my username implies (which is the name of my deer camp in iron county, named this after on one occasion 5 to 7 bucks came in at once from all directions to grunting) i have had un-real success grunting and rattling in bucks, and also a doe which i shot from 4 feet away that came in from at least 1/4 mile +. So, as my brother stated, this buck did come in to grunting from 3 to 400 yrds during the rut.
Just because you havent had success with this skill dont mean others havent.

Nice buck. But come on, grunted him in from 400 yards, across a highway with a train coming??? Sounds like he was headed your way with or without your grunt.
