This July I was privileged to be a part of the St. George's Trek, a group of Catholic Boy Scouts selected from throughout the US who spent 12 days backpacking through Philmont Scout Ranch. Philmont is the top BSA camp in the nation and is situated in the desert and Rockies of New Mexico. The Trek was led by priests and seminarians. I am pictured here at 9,000 feet with my daypack. Bishop Conlon of Steubenville, Ohio led our crew, and our trek included Mass at sunrise each morning and a 2 day retreat mid-trek on the trail--as well as breathtaking views of God's country!!

Camping at Crockett's in Lyndon Station. We had walked down the old boat launch and took pictures. This is of one side down at the end of the launch to the left. It's pretty quiet the and peaceful and lots of fun there. Very like nastelgic and rustic like. We rented cabins they have there.
