If you're taking the whole tribe cross-country, the Wagon Queen Family Truckster... You think you hate it now, but wait 'til you drive it. ;-)

Sigh.........I wish hubby and I could afford to take even a mini vacation. But the roof over the head and food come first. Kinda important....... We have never been able to have a vacation. Maybe someday.....

Not everyone takes out a loan or charges a vacation. I feel that families NEED vacations together. We're doing the Vegas thing to "re-connect" and a week in a cabin on the lake to do the whole family thing. All are already paid for.

My dad was a truck driver for Jatco. When he had vacation, he painted the house. Seriously. We just don't do vacations. The money is better spent improving the house. Both my husband & I were raised to use "extra money" for savings & home improvements. The idea of taking a loan out for or charging a vacation on a credit card seems irresponsible to us.

I traveled about 10,000 miles (round-trip) in the last two weeks, (not counting the additional 1,100 driving all over Italy in a rental car). Really weird to put that distance into perspective.

We have a camper - year round- in the Dells. We can only go up from April - October but we try to get up there every weekend in that time. It's very relaxing. It's about 2 miles from downtown so we can enjoy the hubbub of the Dells or the quietness of the woods.

Ahh, Vegas in July. It will be hot, but up here we had a record of 29 yesterday and it's only about 50 today. I'm really looking forward to some heat!!!

I'm travelling approximately 6830 miles for my vacation in June/July. That's about how far it is from Afghanistan to Janesville. Oh, and then when I get home we are taking the kids to the waterparks. That'll be fun......I'll look like the belly of a fish except for my head and arms (uniform on all the time..) :)
